We have received great news from Christmas Island. For the first time ever the netting and sale of Bonefish has been officially banned. The government has put laws in effect that will punish those caught killing bonefish with a $1000.00 fine. To help insure that the violators are caught they are offering a $500.00 reward to anyone who witnesses and turns in a violator. This is a major step and should go a long way to help preserve one of the world’s best flats fisheries.
