A maximum of 24 guests across 12 private villas rooms are located right on the beach - each with incredible sea views. Stays of varying lengths are available and can be arranged for those wanting to slip away from the bustle of the northern resorts for a few days of quality flats fishing. Non-fishing companions can enjoy picturesque beach lounging on Bali style king size beds, a beautiful pool, kayaking, Golf, scuba, kite surfing and snorkeling. Grand Slam Fly Fishing Lodge is located near Punta Allen, Mexico on the north shore of Ascension Bay.

The time in Mexico is one hour later than the US Pacific Time Zone.

Fishing Program:
Ascension Bay is only 90 miles south of Cancun, Mexico, and offers endless crystal clear flats, mangrove lagoons, channels, reefs, where bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, barracuda, jacks and others swim. Located within the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve, Grand Slam Fly Fishing Lodge offers year round fly fishing possibilities for bonefish, permit, and jacks. Tarpon season runs from April through October and snook season is from November through March. The Sian Ka'an Preserve is home to more than 345 species of birds, including over one million wintering migratory song birds.

Anglers access the fishing areas on traditional Mexican Pangas with two guides on every boat (one senior guide and one junior guide). While the vast majority of the fly fishing is done from the boat there are also opportunities to wade fish for bonefish and permit. Also available is a 26 foot center console boat for getting out to the reef and an even larger 29 foot cabin cruiser for deep sea trolling or deep jigging.

Accommodations and Meals:
Grand Slam Fly Fishing Lodge offers anglers luxurious and air-conditioned, beachfront suites with private bathrooms. You’ll appreciate the king size beds, hammock, large flat screen TV (with satellite service), DVD player, iPod docking station, and a fully stocked mini bar. A locking safe, daily room service, personal rod racks and fly fishing magazines are also stocked. Each villa features two separate rooms with luxurious and contemporary interiors.

Dine at your leisure for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Kai restaurant found in the main lodge that also features an extensive international wine list.
