Bighorn River Lodge Rockies

Over the past 30 or so years, the Bighorn River has become a veritable icon of quality tailrace trout fishing in the United States. This distinction is the result of what thousands of anglers of all skill levels have experienced time and time again upon visiting this remarkable river system. With upwards of 6000 trout per mile and fish averaging 17 inches, the Bighorn is one of those places against which all others are measured.

Guests at Bighorn River Lodge float the river each day with veteran local guides. Nymph fishing from the boat, wade fishing dries to large pods of feeding fish, and streamer fishing are all possible approaches on any given day. Anglers of all skill levels are typically met with impressive catches and receive quality instruction from experienced local guides.

The newly remodeled main lodge features Montana-style décor and has five bedrooms, each equipped with two beds and a private bathroom. A large living room and dining area create a gathering space for guests to mingle, play cards and share fishing tales. The “Little Cabin” situated across from the lodge provides a quiet getaway with sleeping quarters for up to four anglers. Thoughtfully prepared dinners and hearty breakfasts, along with a private pond and walking access to the river, round out this classic Montana fishing experience.
